Designing to de-conflict.

One thing is for certain, that change is inevitable. And since any kind of change has a causal relation, in a way, the direction of change can be altered, depending on the tools we use. It’s useful to deeply investigate instructional design as a proposition, in order to question ones own set of beliefs or bias, prior to a prescription.

Sometimes, when the prescriptive force is radical, the outcome of the change is radical as well. Comparably, it cannot have the desired effect that subtle and mindful approaches do. Yet, most often, it leads to a backlash of sorts giving rise to more radical forms or correctional mediums from the system, rendering it counterproductive. For example, if you're breeding the next radical generation, they you must be prepared for an equally radical front-line opposition. Design must factor this in before any universal approaches are applied.
